As a Catholic University, faith is the cornerstone of everything at Notre Dame. Nowhere is that more apparent than in the residence halls, especially Coyle Hall.
Here, you'll find a faith-filled community of students that support each other in their spiritual journeys through sacraments, prayer, and comraderie.
Whether it's through daily mass in the chapel, weekly bible study, singing in the choir, special events during Lent and Advent, a quiet conversation, or even homemade ice cream, here, you'll opportunities to not only grow in your faith, but build bonds with others as well.
We say all are welcome in this place, and we mean it. Even if you aren't Catholic, you'll find a place here. Our choir, masses, events, chapel, and, of course, ice cream, are open to every student.

St. Albert the Great
The chapel honors St. Albert the Great, a renowned 13th-century scholar, philosopher, scientist, and Dominican friar—teacher of St. Thomas Aquinas, and patron saint of scientists, philosophers, and students. The chapel, which features a statue of St. Albert the Great featured prominently, as well as other artwork around the space, houses a sacristy and a confessional, and serves as a spiritual hub for hall traditions. The space is often lit softly by candles, providing a serene environment for prayer and reflection.
